Clear Operational Rules

§ 1 — Purpose and Privacy

erase.to is a Zero-Trace environment for secure handoffs. We do not monitor activity, nor do we log IP addresses or metadata. Users are entirely responsible for their own conduct. Due to our infrastructure being blind by design, we have no technical means to audit or reconstruct user behavior.

§ 2 — Data Recovery & Legal

Because we do not store logs, keys, or PII, we cannot assist in data recovery or identity verification. This applies to all parties, including users and legal authorities: We cannot provide information that does not exist in our systems.

§ 3 — Limits of Responsibility

erase.to provides technical tools for encryption. We offer no protection against local compromise, phishing, or recipient negligence. The user is solely responsible for the secure handling of the generated links.

§ 4 — Availability

This service operates without a guarantee of uptime or permanence. Messages may be lost due to technical errors or infrastructure changes. The service should never be used as the sole repository for critical data.
